Ms. Bermudez began working at the Puerto Rico office of Lasa, Monroig & Veve in 1997.  She has had experience in the areas of administrative law, appellate practice, business law, civil law, contracts, corporations, intellectual property, and labor law.  

In 2009 she joined the Washington D.C. offices of Lasa, Monroig & Veve, where she works mainly in the area of government affairs.  She researches and identifies federal and private funding opportunities available for private and public sectors, including Hispanic-serving institutions, nonprofits, and local governments.  Her work includes grant seeking and assisting clients with government compliance.  

Ms. Bermudez began her career as a judicial law clerk in Puerto Rico at the appellate level, and she also has experience as in-house counsel.  Her fluency in English and Spanish has been a key instrument in assisting clients over the years.  Ms. Bermudez was born and raised in New York, began her studies in Fordham University, and later moved to Puerto Rico.  She holds a B.A., in English Literature, summa cum laude, from Inter-American University, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law.  She is admitted to the bars of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, and she is also a certified Spanish language interpreter for the Courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
